HISTORY

HEYDAR GHIAÏ-CHAMLOU  STARTED HIS ARCHITECTURAL PRACTICE IN 1953 AFTER HAVING COMPLETED HIS DOCTORATE FROM THE ÉCOLE DES BEAUX ARTS IN PARIS . HE THEN WENT ON TO ESTABLISH HIS FIRM AS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ONE IN IRAN  AND WAS KNOWN AS THE FATHER OF MODERN ARCHITECTURE IN IRAN.

HEYDAR GHIAÏ'S FIRM WENT ON TO DESIGN MAJOR HOTELS, RESORTS, CASINOS, HOSPITALS, OFFICE BUILDINGS AND LUXURY RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS AROUND THE WORLD.

HEYDAR GHIAÏ INSTILLED HIS PRINCIPLES TO HIS THREE SONS WHO BECAME ARCHITECTS, AND WHO IN TURN ARE TRANSMITTING THEIR LOVE OF ARCHITECTURE TO THEIR CHILDREN . HE ALSO INFLUENCED SEVERAL GENERATIONS OF YOUNG ARCHITECTS AS A UNIVERSITY TEACHER AND A PATRON AT THE "ATELIER GHIAÏ".

YVES F. GHIAÏ-CHAMLOU TOOK OVER THE LEADERSHIP OF HIS FATHER'S FIRM IN 1983 AFTER HAVING COMPLETED HIS HIGH SCHOOL AT THE LYCEE JANSON DE SAILLY IN PARIS AND HIS STUDIES IN ARCHITECTURE AT PRATT INSTITUTE IN NEW YORK AND CCA. HE THEN WENT ON TO EXPAND THE FIRM BOTH AT ITS BASE IN EUROPE  TO CENTRAL AMERICA , AND THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT . THE FIRM IS NOW MOVING TOWARDS ITS THIRD GENERATION OF GHIAI 'S WITH YVES' DAUGHTER, ANAHITA GHIAI EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OUR ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE.

YVES GHIAÏ PERPETUATED THE UNIQUELY GHIAÏ STYLE OF ARCHITECTURE SYNTHESIZING THE HISTORICAL, THE FUTURISTIC, AND THE MYSTICO-POETIC ASPECTS OF HIS ART TOGETHER WITH THE HIGHLY PRACTICAL AND EFFICIENT APPROACH OF AN ARCHITECT-DEVELOPER-BUILDER.

OUR FIRM ALSO SPECIALIZES IN REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT CONSULTING THROUGH OUR SISTER COMPANY 
GHIAI DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

YVES GHIAÏ IS A MEMBER OF THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS, THE FRENCH ORDRE DES ARCHITECTES, THE FRENCH ACADEMY OF ARCHITECTURE, THE ARCHITECTURAL INSTITUTE OF BRITISH COLUMBIA, THE AMERICAN BOAT & YACHT COUNCIL, AND A GUEST LECTURER AT U.C. BERKELEY, PRATT INSTITUTE, AND PROFESSOR OF ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN AT F.I.D.M ( Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising), AND A GUEST LECTURER AT  CCA ( California College of the Arts)

YVES GHIAÏ IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE ARCHITECTURE IN FRANCE AS WELL AS IN THE UNITED STATES.
